Neeraj Chopra makes history, becomes first Indian to win Diamond League

He is the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal

Chopra is the first track and field athlete to win a gold medal for India at the Olympics.

The victory also helped Neeraj Chopra to qualify for the Diamond League finals in Zurich next month.

The 24-year-old javelin thrower who won the silver at the World Championships in the USA

He is also the first track and field athlete from India to win the IAAF World U20 Championships. Here in 2016 he achieved a world U-20 record throw of 86.48m

Olympic champion and World Championships silver medallist Neeraj Chopra returned to competition in style by winning the Lausanne Diamond League

 In the 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2018 Asian Games, while making her debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He won the gold medal  with a throw of 87.58 meters in his second attempt.
